We are tinyBuild, a global video game publisher and developer focused on creating long-lasting, sustainable franchises across multiple media formats.
Responsible for over 70 titles, including Hello Neighbor, Graveyard Keeper, and Potion Craft, the company has a dozen development studios spread across the US, EU, Serbia, and Ukraine.
We are seeking an Art Director for a new project from our in-house indie studio, Hungry Couch. In the past, the team has already released a game that combines elements of action, strategy, and RPG set in a world of floating islands, realized in pixel art style - "Black Skylands."
Currently, the team is working on a new cross-platform single-player 2D game that blends strategy, resource management, and tower defense elements.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?
Working on the art style of the new project;
Managing content creation across all stages of development;
Providing feedback to the art team to ensure high-quality art on the project;
Improving and refining workflow processes to make them more efficient and effective;
Planning the workload and deadlines of the art team;
Creating art content: from sketches to the final result.
What kind of professional are we looking for?
Experience in released video games in the role of Art Lead/Art Director;
Proficiency in 2D character and object animation;
Knowledge of the fundamentals of game design and how visual style impacts gameplay and game perception.
A portfolio with projects showcasing 2D game design skills is required;
Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. Ability to adapt to new tools and technologies;
Having a bachelor's degree in design, art, or a related field would be an advantage.
