Data Engineer (Mid-Sen Level) - Fully Remote

SOFTGAMES is looking for a Data Engineer (Mid-Sen Level) - Fully Remote to help build and optimize our data infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations for our data analysts and business teams. You'll play a vital part in ensuring we have the data to be able to make critical decisions for our games that reach tens of millions of players each month, pretty exciting!

• For this position, the candidate must be based in a time-zone with a 4 hours overlap with Berlin, Germany.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Airflow

• Support data analysts by ensuring they have clean, structured, and well-documented data

• Manage and optimize Tableau dashboards, ensuring seamless data exports and reporting

• Develop ETL workflows and data integrations using Python

• Monitor data quality, optimize performance and cost efficiency

• Take responsibility for the smooth operation and reliability of the data platform

• Work with cloud-based data solutions (AWS)

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• 3–5+ years of experience in Data Engineering

• Strong skills in Databricks/Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, and Python and Apache Flowform

• Experience with SQL and cloud-based data platforms

• Familiarity with Tableau and managing data exports for reporting

• Proficiency in conceptualizing and designing data platforms tailored to business needs

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote-first environment

• Experience in the Games Industry

• Fluent English
