We are seeking a talented Game Writer to develop the immersive setting, rich worldbuilding, compelling characters, and cohesive narrative structure for a dark fantasy strategic deck-building RPG. The ideal candidate will craft engaging storylines involving intricate antagonists and protagonists, enhancing player immersion in a complex fantasy universe.
For which tasks (responsibilities)?
Create detailed settings and worldbuilding elements to establish a dark fantasy game universe
Develop complex and engaging protagonists and antagonists that drive the game’s narrative
Design an overarching narrative structure that supports strategic deck-building gameplay
Collaborate with game designers and artists to ensure narrative consistency across all game elements
Write dialogue, lore, and story content that enhances the player’s immersion and emotional connection
Revise and polish narrative content based on feedback from the development team and playtesting
What kind of professional are we looking for?
Familiarity with deck-building mechanics and their impact on narrative pacing
Knowledge of dark fantasy themes and tropes
Experience with branching narratives and player choice integration
Strong organizational skills and capability to manage large volumes of lore and story content
