We’re an independent video games developer and publisher. We work on both internal IPs as well as AAA projects with partners around the world. Some of the titles we've worked on are Torchlight 3, Final Fantasy XV, Street Fighter, and many more.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

Streamline Games is looking for a Sound Designer to join our production team and work on our current and future games. In this role, you will be working both independently and collaboratively with the development team to make the best game possible. The Sound Designer is expected to conceptualize and compliment the game through a composition of unique sound FX and recording of audio dialogues, supplementing the game experience.

  • Provide professional high-quality sound through many means of sound design from the pre-existing library, sound alteration, or recording sessions (Field Record or Studio Record)

  • Able to identify and implement pipeline optimizations and to create technical benchmarks to be used in production.

  • Record game dialogues and edit where necessary

  • Implementing, mixing and mastering the sounds in the game engine to ensure seamless and appropriate balance for players

  • Drive audio tests and debugs to ensure the functional quality of the product

  • Stock and manage Audio Libraries

  • Collaborate/communicate with various members of the Game Team Department to be able to provide content effectively and efficiently

  • Create documentation that outlines the projects audio as it relates to the project’s graphics and behaviour

  • Strong collaboration skills with other artists and disciplines.

  • Stays current on industry-standard content creation tools and techniques

What kind of professional are we looking for?
  • Hands-on experience with game engines (e.g. UE4, Unity3D, etc.)

  • Good working knowledge of relevant DAW, plug-ins and audio integration software (e.g. Cubase Pro, Logic Pro, VST plugins, Wwise, FMOD, etc.)

  • Able to conduct an audio recording in studio. Field Recording is a plus.

  • Knowledge of the video games industry and awareness of typical video game development processes.

  • Familiarity with data management software (e.g. SVN, Perforce, etc.)

  • Proficiency in English.

  • Application must include a demo reel or examples of professional work that is easily accessible online, a breakdown of your contributions to the shot or game, and an accompanying resume.
