Meet Denis (https://www.linkedin.com/in/denismryhin/ ) — Head of Game Department at Universe. For the last 13 years, he has been working in game dev, and like our entire team, he cannot imagine his life without games. By the way, within a year, the game dev team has grown to 14 people, but we strive to grow not only as a team — our goal is to make as many people worldwide as possible fall in love with our games!

Universe is a product IT company in the Genesis holding. We have assembled a team of 60 specialists, who have created 9 functional business applications (utilities for IOS), launched our own R&D center, and invested in a new direction — the development of casual games. Together with the best professionals in their field, we create an ecosystem of applications and new platforms to improve the quality of people's lives all over the world.

Universe apps have been downloaded by about 40 million users and are regularly included in the Top-5 most popular applications in the Business category. Well-known products of the company: ScanGuru, Translator Guru, Video editor Coobrick.

At the beginning of the year, we released the casual game "Solitare". Now, we are preparing it for Soft Launch and looking for a Level Designer who will strengthen our team and create new exciting levels.

In this position, you will:

• create levels for the game (idea, assembly, balance of difficulty) and improve their quality based on metrics

• design mechanics for core gameplay

• work with a difficulty curve

• maintain documentation related to level design

We expect you to:

• have at least one year of Level Designer experience (preferably with various genres of games)

• work with game engines or game modifications

• understand systems design

• know the principles of building levels and how they create the experience 

• understand how to create the FU factor in the level

• have worked with difficulty curve and mechanic discovery progression

• be fond of games and have a great sense of humor :)

It will be a plus if you:

• have experience with Unity

• work with analytics

• understand the casual games market

• deal with design documentation
