C++ Backend Developer

Values Value is a recruiting company with expertise in gamedev, is looking for an experienced C++ Backend Developer for one of our clients, a game publisher and developer of video games that is headquartered in Berlin, Germany.

What are you working on?

• Genres: Shooter
• Platforms: Browser, PC

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Work with an interdisciplinary agile team of artists, designers, and programmers to implement new gameplay features

• Design and implement well-engineered, reliable, maintainable, and bug-free code

• Solve challenging technical issues

• Work closely with designers and QA to create optimal and bug-free solutions

• Identify technical and developmental risks/obstacles and generate solutions to overcome identified risks

• Share knowledge, help, and mentor colleagues in a cooperative, cross-disciplinary, and remote team environment

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• At least 4 years experience as C++ Developer

• Strong knowledge of C++

• Performance optimization skills

• Understanding of game programming techniques

• Strong sense of responsibility and independence

• Basic knowledge of Python

Will be a plus:

• A gamer at heart

• Experience implementing client/server communication

• HTTP servers programming

• Working with databases

• Linux experience

• Experience with Unity
