Experienced Game Artist

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

It’s an exciting time to be part of Studio Firefly, as we look to further push the creative boundaries of mobile gaming. We are evolving and growing rapidly! As a result, we are now looking for an experienced Game Artist to join our LiveOps specialist studio. As an Artist at Studio Firefly, you'll be involved in creating all aspects of game art, producing everything from concepts, characters, environments, marketing assets and icons through to helping define and realize the mood and atmosphere of our new content pipeline.

Working as part of a high performing, cross functional team, you will be confident presenting your ideas to the wider team and translating your vision into a concise, well thought out pitches. In addition, you will be comfortable quickly navigating and building upon existing, inherited concepts. As you will be participating in all phases of the design process, good social and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

What you’ll be doing…

• Create and enhance the artwork for in-game and marketing

• Design and illustrate scenes, characters, environment, props, and icons from concept to implementation in the game

• Illustrate and setup promotional materials for the game

• Follow the company and project art directions and production pipelines

• Create visually stunning and intuitive interface for users

• Take on board and implement feedback by making appropriate changes to the artwork you've produced

• Deliver appropriate estimates to help the team produce the game requirements efficiently and in line with the required schedules

• Work collaboratively with other game artists, as well as members of the wider team, such as designers, developers, animators, quality assurance testers, and those involved in management and marketing

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• Previous professional experience as a game artist working in a team environment. Minimum of 4 years

• Experience with Photoshop

• Ability to illustrate in a realistic style using photo-bashing technique

• Ability to adapt to different artistic styles and create illustrations and concepts in various aesthetics from realistic to cartoon

• Experience in graphic design and layout

• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

• Versatile and prepared to tackle many kinds of tasks, ranging from creative challenges of mass production

• A ‘roll up your sleeves’ and problem-solving mindset to get the job done

• Team Spirit

• English speaking skills
