tinyBuild is looking for a full-time QA Manager based in a central-European time zone or close. As a QA Manager, you will be responsible for leading and maintaining QA processes for tinyBuild titles. Work implies strong communication with multiple internal and external teams to ensure the quality releases of our titles for console platforms and PC.
We expect you to be an avid gamer, highly knowledgeable in the field of QA, and passionate about the idea of being a key link in our value chain aimed at releasing great and quality games.
This is a hybrid position, meaning you can either work remotely or relocate to one of our offices in Europe (in the Netherlands, Serbia, or Latvia).
What are you working on?

For which tasks (responsibilities)?
Working closely with the multiple dev teams, production, release management, and Live Ops teams, providing clear communication between all departments
Maintaining key dates, checklists, and internal guidelines for QA
Providing weekly reports
Organize test processes (smoke, compatibility, compliance, feature) so that every aspect of the game is thoroughly tested, and each release is held to high standards
Managing vendor relationships, tracking QA spending, and project QA budgets
Receive, inspect and provide feedback on deliverables (i.e., builds from development or porting teams or reports from QA teams)
Assuming QA ownership and responsibility for multiple projects at the same time
Managing external QA teams as testing unfolds, proactively monitoring test execution
Having a clear understanding of the status of the QA projects for which they are responsible and being able to report on the status of the project at all times
Ensure that all bugs from the are recorded in an efficient and informative manner
Researching and identifying potential opportunities to enhance the test process through improved methodology, tools, and automation
Respond to support tickets internally by reproducing them, providing further information, and forwarding them on to the development team
Respond to the development team’s request in line with the project e.g., providing more information about bugs and their validation
What kind of professional are we looking for?
Proven experience of 4 years or more leading QA projects in the video games industry
Understanding of all modern platforms (PC, Xbox, Playstation, Switch)
Experienced Jira user, able to seamlessly work with filters, Kanban boards, custom workflows, advanced search, and other such features
Experience in working with multi-platform titles
Familiarity with the console certification process
Awareness of the development cycle and key milestones
Comfortable working independently without micromanagement
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks and work on tight deadlines.
Detail-oriented with very strong organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Gamer experience in console games is a must;
Strong functionality QA experience
An understanding of compliance QA
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
Knowledge of setting up test kits, deploying test builds, working with dev environments
Nice to have (i.e., these skills are not required to apply for the position):
Knowledge of the Russian language
Project management experience
Game development experience
Some experience with PC, Mobile, or VR backends and submissions is a plus.
Release management experience
Experience with bug trackers other than Jira
