3D Character Artist

Values Value is a recruiting company with expertise in gamedev, is looking for a 3d Artist for one of our clients, Ukrainian studio, an enthusiastic young, motivated and passionate team who share the goal of making the best online MMO Sandbox on mobile devices.

The company is working on an open-world mobile multiplayer online action game focusing on social interaction. They strive to create the best open-world gaming experience inspired by the GTA series.

На какие задачи (обязанности)?

• Close collaboration with a leading 3D artist, concept artists, 3D animators, and technical artists to create high-quality 3D models of characters, equipment, weapons, etc.

• Creating Hi/Lo models in accordance with concepts and technical constraints.

• Solving technical and creative tasks within the 3D department.

• Creating texture maps for PBR.

• Continuous analysis of visual trends and content development methods in the gaming industry and their integration into the studio's pipeline.

Какого профессионала ищем?

• 3+ years of experience as a 3D modeler in the gaming industry.

• Strong knowledge of 3ds max/Maya/Blender, ZBrush.

• Excellent texturing skills (Substance Painter).

• Confident sculpting skills in Zbrush (anatomy, clothing elements).

• Good knowledge of anatomy.

• Understanding of the principles of optimizing 3D content for game engines.

• Knowledge of the process of baking textures from high-polygon models.

• Ability to feel proportions, rhythm, read concepts.

• Proficient in working with UV unwrapping, optimizing UV unwrapping for game models.

• Understanding of the PBR pipeline.

• Passion for games and knowledge of the gaming industry.

• Portfolio is mandatory.
  

  Nice to have:

• Art education, ability to draw by hand.

• Experience with Unity3D, understanding of shader principles.

• Understanding of skinning and animation principles.

• Experience with version control systems (Git/SVN).

• Experience with Marvelous Designer.

• Experience with moderate stylization.
