Art Director (2D casual games)

Our customer is a Czech company, planning to start a new department for developing casual games of all types - starting with mobile games and then extending it to web platforms. The direction is new and we are hiring a team that will shape and define the way it will grow and develop.

We expect to start the team of 5, extending it further to 10 or even more. You will get a chance to stand at the origins of this brand-new business direction and make decisions that will define its roadmap.

Up to 10 people, led by Game Designer and Art Director.

На какие задачи (обязанности)?

• Combine the roles of hands-on leader and strong manager for a future team of artists

• Define the visual, atmosphere and specifics of new games

• Participate in hiring the art team, ensuring their collaboration will be efficient

• Coordinate the team's workload and workflow

• Being a focal point between development and art teams

Какого профессионала ищем?

• 5 or more years in game development (preferably casual games)

• Extensive hands-on skills in creation of arts for games (with focus on 2D arts)

• Familarity with animation process and tools in game development

• Experience leading and mentoring art team

• Strategic approach, ability to define art specifics for a new game and communicate it to the team

• Intermediate English level (understanding of tech documentation and ability to update it)

Nice to have:

• Experience in continuous development of alike games

• Experience with different types of casual games
