SENIOR QUEST DESIGNER NEW IP

We are seeking a talented Senior Quest Designer to join our team. In collaboration with the Narrative and Design teams, you will participate in and be responsible for the design and implementation of quest arcs and related systems. The job will require creating in-game quests first on paper with Narrative and Design team and then practically in the engine together with Level Design team, exploring the narrative opportunities of game systems and mechanics to create immersive player experience and tie closely to gameplay. Working with the plot, setting and characters of the universe of our New IP.

На какие задачи (обязанности)?

• Develop and prototype quests in accordance with project direction, narrative and game design vision. 

• Author quests with visual scripting tooling and the quest system.  

• Own quests from inception to completion and be the main point of contact for them, working closely with Level Designers and Narrative Designers. 

• Collaborate with other Game Designers, Narrative Designers and Programmers to craft engaging narrative stories and experiences that captivate players. 

• Set up and maintain documentation related to any quests, stories or narrative encounters and keep track of their intentions and characteristics. 

• Write dialogue in various different tones/voices or scenarios and author conversations between characters that feel natural and real 

• Prototype and develop quest ingredients/prefabs. 

• Provide feedback on the narrative and level design work of the team. 

• Test self-authored game content as well as the content of other team members (level design, quest design). 

• Setup placeholder cutscenes to portray narrative intention where applicable.

Какого профессионала ищем?

• 3+ years of experience in Quest/Mission/Level Design in PC / Console game industry. 

• Solid game engine scripting skills (UE or other AAA proprietary engines – test will be required), experience working with in-house or premade scripting and narrative engine tools (articity draft, ink, arcweave etc.) . 

• Experience in writing fiction and documentary texts and stories. 

• Excellent level of written and spoken English 

• Genuine interest and passion in video games. 

Preferences

• Strong passion for writing and telling intricate stories. 

• Knowledge of dramatic and storytelling techniques. 

• Being confident and professional in your field. Released PC/Console games are a plus.   

• Ability to learn tools and pipelines quickly and adapt to our work specifics.  

• Ability of deep diving into the characters and understanding their features in order to progress the story.
