2D Unity Animator

At Table Knight Games, we create mobile social games and are expanding our reach into high-quality indie games. As a 2D Unity Animator at Table Knight Games, you will bring characters, environments, and animations to life in our latest PC and console game. You will work closely with our team to animate vibrant 2D elements that enhance the narrative, gameplay and create a captivating experience for players.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Animate characters, objects, and environments in to bring dynamic movement to our adventure game.

• Collaborate with the art director and designers to ensure animations align with the game’s visual style and storytelling.

• Work closely with the art team to animate characters, tools, and weapons, creating frame-by-frame animations as sprite sheets.

• Adjust and refine animations based on playtesting feedback and technical requirements.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• Experience: Proven experience as a 2D Animator particularly in gaming.

• Animation Principles: Strong understanding of animation principles, including timing, weight, and appeal, to create lively, impactful animations.

• Team Collaboration: Excellent communication skills for working with artists, designers, and programmers to bring ideas to life.

• Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Ability to adapt animations for different screen sizes and hardware requirements, with a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges.

• English Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Bonus Points for:

• Unity Knowledge: Proficient in Unity’s animation tools, with experience in Unity’s Animator, Timeline systems and sprite animations.

• Particle Effects and VFX: Experience creating particle effects and visual effects in Unity to enhance animations.

• Shader Knowledge: Understanding of basic shader work in Unity to create effects such as glow, shadows, or color adjustments that can enhance animation visuals.

• Animation State Management: Experience setting up and managing animation state machines within Unity for smooth transitions and character movement.
