International game studio Eschatology Entertainment invites a Gameplay Designer to collaborate on creating an AAA-level first-person shooter for PC/Consoles, without F2P mechanics. Our team is made up of strong professionals who have developed and released world-famous games. We can provide an opportunity to develop and grow in various directions. We have over 50 specialists, not counting outsource and outstaff.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?
  • As a Gameplay Designer you will be responsible for delivering intuitive, responsive character controls and camera systems for a 1st person souls-like game which supports and enhances the creative direction of the game product. 

  • You will work closely with our gameplay, design, and programming teams to ensure that the 3Cs systems meet the highest standards for quality and performance. 

  • You will design, prototype and script core gameplay features with the support and direction of the Lead Designer and the Creative Director.  

  • You will collaborate with other content disciplines to ensure your features have the various feedback systems required to make in-game cause and effect clear to players.  

  • You will plan your work to ensure your features are delivered on time and to an exceptional level of quality. 

  • You will participate in organizing playtest sessions for involved developers (level designers, artists, animators and programmers) and external UX labs to discuss and improve implemented features 

  • You will mentor and review the work of other less experienced team members.  

What kind of professional are we looking for?
  • You are an experienced Gameplay Designer, with previous experience working with 3Cs design for 1st/3rd person shooters, and a passion for creating engaging and immersive gameplay experiences.  

  • You are able to prototype and implement features using Unreal Blueprints 

  • You have an understanding of how enemies work in the Souls-like genre and how to design them to create a compelling gameplay experience. 

  • You can implement combatant character with animations and behavior using state machines behavior trees, visual effects and sound effects.  

  • You can give and take constructive feedback while interacting with leads and other team members, using it to improve the product.  

  • You enjoy working in a friendly team environment, you are dedicated to improve your craft and make the best game possible. 

What are the conditions and bonuses?
  • Work format: remote (from home) 

  • Trial period: 3 months 

  • Type of employment: 40-hour work week 

  • Flexible schedule with mandatory attendance hours from 12:00 to 16:00 (Cyprus)
