In this role, you would primarily be responsible for developing and implementing the Company’s AML compliance program. This includes creating policies, procedures, and controls to prevent and detect money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes. The AML office would also be involved in transaction monitoring, due diligence, risk assessments, employee training, and reporting suspicious activity.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, implement, and maintain AML policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulations impacting iLottery and iGaming
- Develop and implement compliance programs, policies, and reporting mechanisms
- Develop strategies for compliance with AML laws and collaborate with auditors and regulators
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and assess potential money laundering and terrorist financing risks
- Report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities in a timely and accurate manner
- Develop and maintain effective monitoring systems to identify suspicious and fraudulent activity
- Investigate suspicious activity and conduct due diligence on clients and transactions
- As the point person for audits, exams, and other regulatory inquiries
- Collaborate with various teams, including legal, finance, and operations
- Maintain partnership with regulatory bodies in the iLottery and iGaming industry, as well as other stakeholders
- Lead AML compliance training for team members on identifying suspicious activities.
- Guide other employees on AML matters
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a regulated environment.
- 3-5+ years of experience in anti-money laundering and fraud detection, preferably in the lottery, gaming, banking, or finance sectors.
- ACAM certification (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of AML laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and use of relevant software (e.g., Excel, Outlook).
- Great math skills and ability to identify trends using digital techniques.
- Expert in understanding, identifying, and providing a path forward related to product gaps, professional services engagement, and enhancement request process
- Engage as a Mentor to other members in the team
- Ability to provide excellent methods of problem-solving techniques and a solution-oriented mindset with both colleagues and customers.
- Must be goal and results-oriented with a high attention to organizational and project detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, as well as customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and able to communicate under pressure.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be comfortable working with all levels of the business and delivering presentations to the Executive team.
- Potential willingness to travel periodically, depending on business needs.
