Backend Developer (PHP)

Nekki is a game development studio, the creator of Shadow Fight Arena, Shadow Fight 3, Shadow Fight 2, 11×11, and Vector. The total number of registered users for our games exceeds 1 billion worldwide. We develop and release games for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms.

We are looking for an experienced PHP developer to support a number of our game and semi-game related projects. 

What are you working on?

• The name of the project(s): A number of company's game and semi-game related projects
• Genres: Action, Adventure, Puzzle, Racing, Role-playing, Strategy, Shooter, Card and/or Board, Casual, Arcade, Fighting, Platformer, Educational, Trivia
• Platforms: Mobile, Console, Browser, PC, iOS, Android

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Development and support of the company's internal systems and media projects.

• Optimizing, documenting, and refactoring of existing code.

• Working with the PHP – Yii2 framework.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• Profound knowledge and experience with PHP.

• Experience working with the Yii2 framework or similar ones.

• Ability to design databases, optimize queries, understand transactions (mysql/mariadb).

• Understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, knowledge of basic patterns.

• Understanding of the REST concept.

• Understanding of HTML + CSS (LESS/CSS) + JS (jQuery).

• Technical level of English.

What is important for us in a person?

Would be a plus:

• Experience in payment, mail, and analytical integrations.

• Vagrant, Redis, RabbitMQ.

• Webpack, Gulp.

• Vue.js.
