Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join the leadership team of our dynamic mobile game studio. This role demands a strong technical leader with a proven track record in gaming, and a hands-on approach to prototyping and innovation.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Leadership and Vision
● Define and lead the studio’s technological vision, aligning it with business and product
strategies.
● Drive innovation and ensure stable R&D processes to foster creativity and technical
excellence.
● Lead a technical team of approximately 20 developers, setting high standards for
performance and collaboration.

2. Game Development Oversight
● Oversee the entire development pipeline to deliver high-quality games and ensure
smooth post-launch operations.
● Optimize game performance across various mobile platforms to enhance player
experience and engagement.

3. Prototyping and Early-Stage Development
● Take a hands-on approach to creating prototypes and guide the team through
early-stage development.

4. Outsourced Development Management
● Manage relationships with outsourcing studios to ensure adherence to technical
standards and project goals.
● Conduct regular audits to maintain product quality and optimize external collaborations.

5. Technological Infrastructure and Security
● Build scalable, reliable technical infrastructure to support long-term growth.
● Ensure robust data security measures for user and company data.

6. Performance Monitoring and Optimization
● Analyze user data to continuously improve the gaming experience.
● Collaborate with R&D teams to resolve technical issues and enhance user interaction.

7. Code Quality and Testing Standards
● Implement rigorous code reviews and testing processes to ensure high-quality output.
● Define and enforce code clarity, stability, and automated testing standards.
8. DevOps and Version Control
● Establish CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes and maintain stability.
● Ensure effective version control practices for traceability and efficiency.

9. Team Development and Culture
● Foster a culture of excellence, knowledge sharing, and innovation within the technical
team.
● Organize training sessions and workshops to upskill team members and encourage best
practices. 

What kind of professional are we looking for?

Key Requirements
● Proven experience as a Tech Lead for teams of 15–20 developers, with a strong focus
on gaming projects.
● Proficiency in JavaScript and WebGL, with expertise in system design.
● Ability to independently create prototypes and lead early-stage product development.
● Experience in the gaming industry, ideally in startups or fast-paced environments.
● Passion for working in a startup culture and contributing to innovative growth.

Preferred Qualifications
● Experience with Unity 3D.
● Familiarity with AI tools, machine learning, or big data solutions is a plus.
● Strong background in optimizing performance for mobile platforms.
● Hands-on experience in R&D and managing outsourced teams.
