DevOps Cloud Engineer*

We are one of the leading publishers of free-to-play online games based in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Our Business Intelligence team integrates data from all games and central services into a database, which is used for analysis, reportings and CRM measures.

As a DevOps Cloud Engineer* in the area of Business Intelligence, you'll help our Data Engineers provide the technical foundation that can then be used to bring together data from different areas of the business and use it to make data-driven decisions.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• You take a leading role in the evolution of our Docker and Kubernetes setup on-premises and in the cloud (Azure)

• You work on the continuous improvement of our CI/CD pipelines

• You drive the expansion of our "Infrastructure-As-A-Code" approaches

• You help migrate existing systems to modern infrastructure

• You use tools like Gitlab, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, etc. for this

• You support developers, process experts and project managers in improving our software solutions

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• You are passionate about Kubernetes and container solutions, their security and stability in operation are important to you

• You are comfortable with agile development processes

• You have very good programming skills in Python, Java, Go etc.

• You have practical experience in the cloud environment (preferably Azure), as well as knowledge in the Big Data area and especially in event processing systems

• You enjoy sharing information with others and find it easy to explain things in detail

• You keep a cool head and can easily adjust to changing situations and modify existing processes

• You look at the bigger picture, questioning existing methods and analysing potential risks
