For which tasks (responsibilities)?

MeChat virtual dating simulation app is seeking an experienced Interactive Romance Story Writer for a remote position. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing interactive romance story scripts.

MeChat provides diverse stories where the player is the main love interest. The player can match the characters they like and play unique and exciting storylines of romance, fantasy, adventure, and more. The stories provide chat and date simulation. The choices players make impact their gameplay and relationship with the characters.

Responsibilities:

• Develop interactive romance stories that capture the audience's attention and keep them engaged throughout the entire experience.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure that the story is aligned with the overall project vision and goals.

• Write and revise scripts based on feedback from the team and audience testing.

• Work within the established brand and style guidelines to ensure consistency across all interactive stories.

• Stay current on trends and best practices in interactive story writing, and apply them to our projects.

• Meet project deadlines. Managing multiple projects simultaneously would be a plus.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

Requirements:

• Fluent or Native English.

• Proven experience as a writer, with a focus on interactive stories and/or romance.

• Excellent storytelling skills, with the ability to create compelling characters, settings, and relationship dynamics.

• Ability to develop inclusive and diverse characters and relationships in interactive story scripts.

• Ability to use given story information and expand it to create an immersive game experience.

• Ability to write according to a given formatting example and submit stories in Google sheets (preferably) or Excel.

• Strong understanding of story structure, pacing, dialogue, story branching.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of game designers.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to give and receive feedback effectively.

• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
