Lead Level Designer (match-3)

Klondike Adventures (Vizor Games) is looking for Lead Level Designer (match-3).

We're searching for a talented Level Designer to join our team and help us make exciting games.

What are you working on?

• Genres: Casual
• Platforms: Mobile

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Create match-3 levels:
  - design and build levels in the editor;
  - ensure the quality of levels and tools;
  - develop the workflow and build a team for future growth of the match-3 direction.

• Balancing:
  - create the difficulty curve;
  - adjust levels to the target difficulty;
  - test and tune solve rate, retention, completion time, and other parameters.

• Testing:
  - develop the playtesting system; 
  - use simulators or AI bots (if any) for analysis.

• Maintain match-3 design documentation.

• Work closely with the project team.

• Build and manage the level design team in the future.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• Experience of making match-3 levels (at least 1 released project, at least 500 levels created).

• Understanding of generation flow, goals, shedding, obstacles, and the nuances of balance.

• Advanced spreadsheet user (Google Sheets / Excel).

• Experience with any level editor (in-house, Unity, etc.).

• Basic understanding of analytics (solve rate, first-try win %, average moves left, etc.).

Nice to have:

• Working and gaming experience in the match-3 genre.

• JS, CSS/HTML5, JSON.

• Experience with A/B level testing.

• Knowledge of the top competition and how they balance difficulty.
