For which tasks (responsibilities)?
Frogwares is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Level Artist to join the development of our new game - The Sinking City 2. In this role, you'll be responsible for crafting visually stunning and immersive environments that support gameplay, narrative, and artistic direction. You'll work closely with Level Designers, Environment Artists, and the Art Director to bring our game worlds to life.
Responsibilities:
Create high-quality 3D environment art and compose engaging levels using Unreal Engine 5 tools;
Collaborate with the Level Design and Narrative teams to ensure environments support gameplay and storytelling;
Populate levels with assets, adjust lighting, and fine-tune visual composition and atmosphere;
Optimize levels for performance and adhere to technical constraints;
Help maintain artistic consistency across levels and contribute to visual benchmarks;
What kind of professional are we looking for?
3+ years of experience in a similar role in the game industry;
Strong knowledge of level composition, architectural elements, and environmental storytelling;
Proficiency in industry-standard tools (e.g., Unreal Engine, Maya/3ds Max, Blender, Substance Designer, Photoshop);
Experience with lighting and world-building;
Good understanding of performance optimization for real-time environments;
Strong communication and teamwork skills;
Strong English-speaking skills - ability to communicate effectively in an international team;
Nice to have:
At least one shipped project;
Basic understanding of shaders and materials;
Passion for games and a keen eye for visual storytelling.
