Middle/Senior 2D Artist

Whimsy Games is an outsourcing game development company known for creating innovative and entertaining games for various platforms. With a focus on creativity, Whimsy Games constantly explores new ideas and pushes game development’s boundaries. In the next few years, we are aiming to create bestsellers and become a respectable partner for global GameDev companies.

Now we are looking for a talented 2D Artist for a project full-time cooperation (for 1-2 months or more).

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Create 2D graphics (environment objects, characters and UI Items) for Web and Mobile Slots

• Work with documentation, compliance with technical requirements

• Work with feedback and working with the lead artist

• Create mood boards and concept art

• Postpolish ready-made materials

• Task Estimations and time trekking

• Follow established workflow requirements, art pipelines, and best practices to maintain efficient art production processes

• Communication with the technical department, animators and PM

• Preparation and export of art assets for animation

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• 2+ years of experience as a 2D Artist in the gambling industry and Social Casino industry

• Knowledge of English

• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator

• Good understanding of the game development process ( Technical processes/Basic Art Pipelines, Development and preparation of art for animation)

• Experience with AI Generation

• Ability to be proactive, and highly organized, with good teamwork skills

• Experience work with different art styles (Realism/Casual/Stylization)

• Experience in creating characters, UI items and backgrounds from concept to final render

• Collaging and post-polishing skills

• Freehand drawing skills

• Basic artistic knowledge: Color science, perspective, construction of light, etc.

• Experience in analyzing gambling markets

• Independence and good communication skills. We are expecting a proactive participant in the project.

• Knowledge of Figma

• Base 3D Knowledge
