Pixel Artist

CRITICAL REFLEX is an indie game publishing label on a mission:

Find kick-ass games, make sure these games are at their best upon release, and put them in front of as many gaming fans as possible.

We are looking for an experienced Pixel Artist to join one of our projects — Freaked Fleapit. You will be mostly working on the game's characters and enemies, with some location tile sets sprinkled in there.

• Genres: Music / Rhythm, Action, Adventure
• Platforms: PC

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Create pixel art for characters, enemies and location tile sets according to the game's art direction

• Animating aforementioned art (characters and enemies)

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• Excellent skills in pixel art — at least 3-5 years of experience

• Ability to adapt to the game's style (cartoony, saturated colors, no dithering or anti-aliasing)

• Decent experience with 2D animation - we don't need very smooth animations, the emphasis is on the keyframes and "choppy" animation

• Experience with 2.5D (top-down) projects

• Russian language knowledge is a big plus - the team is Russian-speaking

• Experience with pixel art in style similar to Freaked Fleapit is a plus

• More extensive experience with animation is a plus
