As a QA Manager you will play a critical role in making sure the games we develop with our partners reach the outstanding level of quality required to become huge bestsellers (like some of our existing titles, Star Trek Timelines, Sponge Bob Krusty Cook-off etc..). The main part of your job will be to work these external partners and manage the relationship with them on QA side. Additionally you may have also some hands-on QA work to do.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?
  • Coordinate with Game teams to calculate QA capacity based on release schedules across multiple titles and ensure the needs of every project are met

  • Ensure a high quality standard of bug reports and QA reports are made available to developers matching their requirements or particular interests

  • Create and maintain test plans for internal technical product releases, providing when needed introductory/formative sessions with outsourcing teams 

  • Look for new partners that could help us increase our QA bandwidth or improve our cost efficiency without cutting corners on our quality  standards

  • Understand the basic functionality of iOS / Android devices and troubleshoot most common issues.

  • Provide support to the Development team to evaluate bugs’ impact on releases and hold the final saying from Tilting Point’s perspective in terms of releases signing off

  • Warn internal Game teams if severe bugs are not being addressed by the Developer. Be the ‘Tilting Point voice’ in the discussions with external partners when requested by the Game Manager

  • Collaborate with the Distribution Specialist to ensure TRCs and store guidelines are in check for games in our portfolio

  • Collaborate with the Distribution Producers to ensure checklist for Soft Launch and Global Launch contain all key checks and have been reviewed by the Game Teams

  • Help outsourcers to optimize workflows or test plans 

What kind of professional are we looking for?
  • Must have 3-5 years  of recent professional experience in game industry QA testing. Mobile free-to-play experience a plus!

  • Must have worked and managed external and remote QA teams 

  • Must have strong organization skills and excellent communication skills all-around.

  • Comfortable working with teams in multiple time zones simultaneously

  • Experience with Leanplum and or Amplitude is a plus
