Values Value, a recruiting company with expertise in gamedev, is looking for an experienced, talented, and creative 3D Weapon Artist for one of our clients, a cool video game studio, that develops hybrid FPS and Souls-like game in the mystery western genre.

Team size and structure?
For which tasks (responsibilities)?
Create the models in all the stages – block-out, hi-poly and low-poly model, backing model;
Texturing models in different modern texturing software;
Exporting models to the engine;
Be responsible for creating tasks for outsource weapon artists (team) and reviewing and giving feedback on weapons provided by outsource team/ artist.
What kind of professional are we looking for?
3+ years of AAA experience in a game industry pipeline;
Be familiar with various pipelines;
Expert in 2D/3D hard-surface and solid modeling;
Experience with software packages (Fusion 360/Inventor, Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop);
Ability to create optimal UV for various types of textures (tiles, rectangular, UDIM);
Ability to bake in several programs to solve problems encountered during backing;
Importing and configuring materials in Unreal Engine 5;
Ability to take direction and quickly address Art Director and Animation feedback;
Experience in creating weapon models that are ready for animation;
Deep understanding of the form, design, and materials;
Have the expertise to complete weapon models from start to finish textures assets;
Help Art lead in creating packages for outsource team, as well as reviewing and optimizing weapon models provided by outsource team;
Would be a plus:
Expertise in optimizing meshes for games;
Ability to concept original weapons/gadgets;
1+ shipped AAA titles as a weapon/ hard surface artist;
Experience as a Lead 3D Weapon artist.
