Senior Gameplay Designer

Junkineering is currently looking for an experienced Senior Gameplay Designer to join our dynamic team.As a Senior Gameplay Designer, you will be responsible for the design of the combat systems and gameplay modes for the Turn-Based RPG game. You will work with producers, designers, and all other departments to ensure that the game's vision is fully realised. What are you working on?

• Platforms: Mobile

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Design and tuning of the combat system;

• Design, configure and balance game modes and gameplay content (such as weapons, enemies, etc);

• Determine the gameplay direction of the project together with producers and other stakeholders;

• Analysis of competitive projects and market trends;

• Maintaining project documentation and preparation of technical specifications for developers, artists, animators, etc;

• Interaction with the team on all stages of game development;

• Track detailed bugs, issues, features, and maintain open lines of communication with the project manager, engineers, production;

• Collaborate cross-functionally with team members and stakeholders, including regular attendance and participation in meetings;

• Relay the global vision of the game;

• Report regularly to stakeholders;

• Consult with the supervisor on strategic issues.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• 4+ years as a Game Designer in the mobile game industry (Will be a plus to have released projects in the RPG genre);

• Deep understanding of gameplay game design principles;

• Strong knowledge of RPG market and projects;

• Еxperience managing a team, being a leader who can structure and plan independently;

• Knowledge and understanding of the main KPIs of game projects;

• Demonstrate success in the games-as-service category;

• Strong knowledge of Unity;

• Experience across all aspects of the product life cycle from concept to game release;

• English at least level B1;

• Fluency in the Ukrainian language;

• Strong analytical skills as well as experience working with various analytical tools.
