Currently, the company is developing "Gord" - a single-player, adventure-strategy game featuring developing societies, eerie forbidden lands, and remarkable mythical creatures.

What are you working on?
  • The name of the project(s): Gord
  • Genres: Strategy, Adventure
  • Platforms: PC
For which tasks (responsibilities)?
  • Designing, creating and maintaining visual effects, materials and postprocess pipelines.

  • Setting up proper lighting, fog, color grading, post-process effects and other visual aspects of the game.

  • Preparing and maintaining technical guidelines for artists to ensure consistency, technical correctness and proper optimization of the visual assets.

  • Assisting the team and making sure Unreal Engine’s pipelines and tools related to the visuals are used properly to boost the team’s performance and game’s quality.

  • Reviewing visual assets.

  • Optimizing the game in all areas related to visuals.

  • Being up to date with the latest Unreal Engine updates, good practices, established pipelines and techniques related to visual aspects of the game.

What kind of professional are we looking for?
  • At least 3 years of experience in a related or similar position.  

  • At least 1 year of game industry experience in a similar position.

  • Strong experience with Unreal Engine 4, including using tools related to materials and VFXes and Blueprints programming.

  • Ability to read and generally understand C++ code.

  • Good knowledge of composition, color theory & lighting.

  • Good understanding of hardware and software technical limitations and challenges.

  • Good understanding of trigonometry and vector math.

  • Good understanding of level design, environment art and animations.

  • Experience with various software packages including Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush / Mudbox, Substance Designer.

  • Professionalism and a high work ethic.

  • Passion for games.

  • Advanced English language skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with writing C++ code.

  • Experience writing in various scripting languages: MAXScript, Python, MATLAB.

  • Solid knowledge and experience in using Houdini for games and/or movie production.

  • Shipped a PC / Console video game.

  • BS (or higher) in Computer Science or similar discipline (Physics, Math, EE, etc.).
