For which tasks (responsibilities)?
Game Development & Optimization:
Develop gameplay mechanics, systems, and features using Unreal Engine.
Ensure game functionality is smooth, bug-free, and optimized for console performance (e.g., PS5, Xbox Series X).
Debug and resolve complex technical issues on console platforms.
Console-Specific Development:
Work with console SDKs, APIs, and tools to ensure seamless integration.
Optimize game performance, load times, and memory usage for console hardware.
Address platform-specific requirements and certification processes.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
Work closely with designers, artists, and other programmers to ensure cohesive feature implementation.
Provide technical guidance to ensure designs are feasible and align with console limitations.
Tools and Pipeline Development:
Create or enhance tools and pipelines for better efficiency in game production.
Support art and design teams with custom tools and automation.
Code Quality & Documentation:
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to industry standards.
Document systems, processes, and technical workflows for internal and external use.
What kind of professional are we looking for?
Game Development Expertise:
2+ years of professional experience developing games with Unreal Engine.
Experience working on one or more shipped titles, ideally on console platforms (e.g., PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo).
Familiarity with console development pipelines, platform-specific optimizations, and certification processes.
Console-Specific Development:
Hands-on experience working with console SDKs, APIs, and debugging tools (e.g., PIX for Xbox, Razor for PlayStation).
Optimization for console hardware, including memory management, rendering pipelines, and performance tuning.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in C++, with experience in writing clean, efficient, and modular code.
Strong understanding of game architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization.
Experience in real-time rendering, physics, animation systems, and AI programming.
Problem-Solving & Debugging:
Ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues, especially those unique to console platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address platform-specific challenges.
Optimization Expertise:
Knowledge of profiling tools (e.g., Unreal Insights, console-specific profilers).
Techniques for optimizing rendering, CPU/GPU usage, and asset pipelines
