Senior 3d Character Artist

Values Value,  a recruiting company with expertise in gamedev, is looking for experienced, talented and creative Senior 3d Character Artist for one of our clients, an international game developer that released a popular SLG game.

What are you working on?

• Platforms: iOS, Android, Mobile

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Manage 3d characters modeling pipelines, high and low poly;

• Responsible for the final technical quality of the 3d characters;

• Creation of the technical requirement documentation for 3d characters;

• Art research and development, technology and quality improvement.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• 3+ years of experience in lead art or senior 3d character position for casual mobile games or similar;

• At least 1 released game in portfolio;

• Familiarity with cartoon Pixar or Disney art style;

• Deep understanding of European and American cartoon styles, with unique insights, and an ability to master European and American cartoon styles.

• Strong professional portfolio with high-quality examples of 3D characters;

• Familiar with 3D character production pipelines for the game industry;

• Master at least one of these tools: 3ds Max, Maya, Zbrush;

• Strong knowledge in texturing using Photoshop and/or Substance Paint;

• Deep understanding of material shaders and the best rendering engines like Arnold,;

• Understand the technology used in the game development, its capabilities, and limitations;

• Spoken and written English (Intermediate or higher).

Big plus: 

• Experience in agile-based/SCRUM development;

• Experience in character animation;

• 2d illustrator or quick sketches skills;

• Passion for SLG games and experience in creating them;

• Mastering in Maya (characters are created in Maya);

• Familiar with 3d animation character pipeline.
