Values Value, a recruiting company with expertise in gamedev, is looking for an experienced, talented, and creative Senior/Lead Level Artist for one of our clients, a cool video game studio, that develops hybrid FPS and Souls-like game in the mystery western genre.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?
Work closely in the Production team with Level designer and concept artist;
Create photo-realistic indoor and outdoor locations in Unreal Engine 5.
Lights setup, instancing, placing VFX particles, etc;
Create an asset list with good references or sketches for future Production in the 3D art department;
Create placeholders for the important objects in locations;
Take responsibility for your level, including organizing modeling and texturing needs, following up on progress and quality with the Visual Director;
Discuss level content with the Visual Director and set out time and planning estimates by order of priority;
Integrate assets and textures into the level whilst also assembling the key aspects to this;
Follow a lighting theme in line with the artistic direction of the project;
Understand and follow the visual references whilst respecting the artistic direction;
Understand the needs of Gameplay & Level Design and balance those with the goals and aesthetic of Art Direction.
What kind of professional are we looking for?
3+ years of AAA experience in a game industry pipeline;
Experience of work with UE4/UE5 and with inhouse tools like Landscape, instance static meshes and blueprints for Level Art design;
Intermediate knowledge of any 3d Packages for creating and editing 3D assets;
Good understanding of light, proportion, composition, and color-coding;
Good understanding of modular design;
Work in Unreal 5 with materials and can explain to Material Artist which settings in materials are needed for Level Art usage;
Understanding resource balancing and experience in optimizing scenes (3d models/ VFX / Lighting);
Ability to take direction and quickly address Visual Director feedback;
Examples of finished gameplay locations in portfolio;
Intermediate English (B1 is minimum level, B2/C2 better).
It would be a plus:
Expertise in optimizing meshes for games;
1+ shipped AAA titles as a senior Level artist;
Artistic/architectural/engineering education or background;
Scripting blueprint experience in Unreal;
Understanding of both modern and legacy real-time rendering tech and lighting principles;
Knowledge of additional software is a plus (ZBrush, World Machine, Speedtree, Houdini, etc.).
