For which tasks (responsibilities)?
Frogwares is currently looking for a 3D Environment Modeler for our new project - The Sinking City 2. This role requires strong artistic skills and a good sense of aesthetic principles, as well as a clear understanding of the environmental elements needed to make each level authentic and engaging.
What kind of professional are we looking for?
Responsibilities
Create, adapt, and implement essential 3D environment assets that align with the game’s visual style;
Create 3D objects of varying complexity — from simple props to modular sets and kits;
Work with high-quality textures using tools such as Substance Painter/Designer and Photoshop;
Collaborate closely with Level Design and Game Design teams to ensure gameplay elements are properly integrated;
Participate in developing the modeling pipeline and documentation for the environment art team;
Contribute ideas and solutions to achieve creative and technical objectives;
Requirements
2+ years of professional experience in 3D environment modeling or level design;
Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and environmental design;
Experience in cross-disciplinary collaboration within a game production environment;
Experience with 2D tools like Adobe Photoshop and Substance Painter;
Proficiency in tools such as 3ds Max, Maya, ZBrush (or similar), and strong knowledge of:
- Hig-Poly/Low-Poly modeling;
- Texture baking and texturing;
- UV mapping;- PBR pipeline for assets materiality;
Preferences
Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 or similar game engines;
Prior experience in leading or mentoring fellow artists;
Intermediate or higher level of English.
