Senior 3D Environment Artist

We are CM Games, an independent game developer. The company, founded in 2010, is based in Tallinn. Our mission is to create experiences that are loved forever.

We are looking for a Senior 3D Environment Artist who will create realistic locations for VR racing games. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing composition, concept art, and working with Unity tools, materials, and lighting. They will also work closely with game designers and other artists to iterate and finalize levels from white boxes to the final design.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• creating a full cycle 3D Environment art: modeling, texturing, lighting;

• modeling or reworking buildings, city/suburb stuff, and other racing-oriented environments;

• designing terrains, including vegetation;

• working with procedural scripts and other custom tools in Unity;

• collaborating with a team to build better-level design.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• 3+ years of work as a inhouse 3D environment artist; 

• examples of complex scene design;

• experience working with AAA game pipelines or full-3D mobile 3D graphics;

• ability to work without concept art or with very abstract art;

• knowledge of hard surface, mid poly, PBR;

• experience with Unity and tools/plugins;

• experience working with 3D software such as Blender etc.;

• experience with Substance Designer and Painter.
