Na jakie zadania (obowiązki)?

We’re looking for a Combat Designer to strengthen our Design
team. You will help achieve the next level of immersive combat in a studio with a lot of history in this discipline.

Develop player combat and traversal mechanics, abilities and cameras by implementing character animations, script behavior trees, special effects, and system tuning in a modern AAA game engine.
Work with the AI Design team on behaviors of creature and human opponents.
Collaborate with members of Animation, Engineering, VFX, Audio, and Art teams to develop prototypes.
Ability to self-critique and accept outside critique.
Conduct competitive product research to extract design refinement approaches.
Identify and address bottlenecks, problems, and limitations in pipelines and processes.

Jakiego specjalisty szukamy?

3-5 years of Combat Design experience in an FPS, 3rd person action shooter, or action combat titles.
Intermediate level of hands-on feature, content prototyping, and authoring experience in Unreal, Unity, or other AAA engines.
Expert game design sensibilities, including excellent sense of timing and instincts of what feels right. Deep understanding of the gameplay systems and mechanics, able to pro/con design decisions and the ramifications they will have on the overall experience.
Analyze and articulate enemy archetype design and how archetypes are used to teach, reinforce, or disrupt player's play patterns.
Knowledge of how combat gameplay difficulties are scaled through manipulation of elements on player, enemies, and AI behaviors.
